Why is My Item Unavailable? A Peek Behind the Warehouse Curtain

Ever wonder how we get you those amazing deals? It's all thanks to our unique business model, which cuts out the middleman to bring you discounted groceries. This approach helps you save a ton, but it also means our inventory process is a little different than a regular grocery store.

We want to be transparent about why an item you ordered might sometimes be unavailable by the time you pick up. Here are the main reasons this can happen:

1. Out-of-Stock with Our Supplier

Most of the cases listed on our website are in our suppliers' inventories, stored in huge warehouses! When they give us an inventory count, it's a careful estimate. They're usually spot on, but a case or two can get lost in the shuffle of a giant warehouse.

2. Wrong Case Sent by Our Supplier

Think about the sheer volume of cases our suppliers handle. Sometimes, a simple mistake happens. For example, they might accidentally grab a case of pickle juice chips instead of the peanut butter you ordered. We do our best to catch these mix-ups, but a few can slip through.

3. Case Damaged in Transit

Even the best-packed cases can get damaged on their journey to us. When this happens, we we have to remove it from our inventory.

4. Case Mislabeled

We sort over 1,000 cases every month! This is a massive effort, and sometimes a label gets put on the wrong box. We're a small team doing big things, and while we're meticulous, a mix-up can happen.

5. Customer Mix-up

At our community drop locations, we do our best to get every case into the right customer's stack. But with so many orders, a case can occasionally end up in the wrong pile. This is why we encourage each customer to count their cases and double-check the labels as they load their vehicle! It's the best way to make sure you've got everything you ordered.
